Jio runs a Standalone (SA) 5G network, so it does not lean on a 4G anchor band.

Vi depends on its 4G network for most subscribers.

JioFiber ships a Jio Home Gateway that combines the optical terminal and the router. For most people Jio is the stronger pick. Its 5G is far ahead, and it is the only one of the two you can also use for home broadband through JioFiber. If you ever want fixed-line internet, staying on Jio keeps everything under one account.
Vi still earns its place for the budget night-time downloader. If you grab games or stream at midnight, Vi’s unlimited night data and weekend rollover give it value Jio’s daily 4G packs do not match. Just remember that choice is mobile-only, so home internet means looking elsewhere.
