PLDT Router Login

192.168.1.1

Philippines ZTE, Huawei, Fiberhome

PLDT Inc. is the largest ISP in the Philippines. Most routers use 192.168.1.1 as the default gateway. The admin login URL varies by brand: /fh for Fiberhome, /ZTE for ZTE, and standard for Huawei. This guide covers all models, adminpldt credentials, plans, and the WiFi 6 mesh system.

PLDT Inc. (formerly Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company) is the largest broadband provider in the Philippines. The company operates PLDT Home Fibr, a fibre-to-the-home service available in Metro Manila and expanding to provinces. Fiber Unli plans range from 35Mbps at P899/month to 1Gbps at P9,499/month, all with a 36-month lock-in period.

How to Login to Your PLDT Router

Join the PLDTHOMEFIBR network over Wi-Fi, or plug into a LAN port for a steadier session. Point any browser at 192.168.1.1. Which login page you land on depends on the brand of your supplied unit:

  • Fiberhome models: Type 192.168.1.1/fh in the address bar
  • ZTE models: Type 192.168.1.1/ZTE in the address bar
  • Huawei models: Type 192.168.1.1 (standard, no suffix)
  • Baudtec models: Type 192.168.1.1/super.htm

PLDT Ultera fixed-wireless units are the exception. Those use 192.168.15.1 as the gateway, not 192.168.1.1.

For basic access, enter admin as the username and 1234567890 as the password. If that does not work, try admin/admin.

For full access to bridge mode, port forwarding, and advanced settings, use the adminpldt account. The adminpldt password varies by model and firmware version. See the credentials table below.

If the brand suffix page refuses to load, confirm your phone or laptop is joined to the PLDTHOMEFIBR network rather than mobile data. Prefix the address with http:// or https://. For the adminpldt panel especially, a wired LAN connection holds the session better than Wi-Fi during bridge-mode changes.

PLDT Router Models and Default Settings

The provider has three admin access levels: admin (basic), adminpldt (full access), and superadmin (root, Fiberhome only). The adminpldt account is what most subscribers need for bridge mode and DNS changes.

The provider changes adminpldt passwords through OTA (over-the-air) firmware updates. If the passwords above do not work, your firmware may have been updated. The username adminpldt remains the same across all models. A factory reset restores the original firmware password but may require calling 171 to restore your internet connection.

Fiber Prepaid is also available from P50 for subscribers who prefer no lock-in. Prepaid plans use the same router and fibre line but with time-limited or data-limited access.

WiFi 6 Mesh System

The provider offers the TP-Link Deco X55 as a WiFi 6 mesh add-on. It is available on any Fiber Unli plan for P199/month per unit.

Three Deco X55 units cover up to 700 square metres, enough for a large multi-storey Filipino home. Each unit is dual-band (2.4GHz + 5GHz) with WiFi 6 features: OFDMA for simultaneous multi-device transmission, MU-MIMO for efficient bandwidth distribution, BSS Coloring to reduce interference from neighbouring networks, and 160MHz channel width on the 5GHz band.

The mesh units connect to the existing PLDT modem via ethernet or wirelessly. They create a single network that devices roam between automatically. Place units in different rooms or floors for best coverage.

WiFi 7 Router

The TP-Link BE230 is a dual-band WiFi 7 router available to subscribers on Fiber Plan 2699 and above. It costs P5,290 (discounted from P5,990) through the Next Upgrade Shop.

WiFi 7 features on the BE230 include 4K QAM (4096 QAM) for higher data encoding density, Multi-Link Operation (MLO) for reduced latency across bands, and MU-MIMO supporting up to 16 streams. The 6GHz band is not yet available in the Philippines, so the BE230 operates in dual-band mode (2.4GHz + 5GHz) for now.

Changing Your PLDT Wi-Fi Password

The default SSID on most units is “PLDTHOMEFIBR” followed by random characters, and the default Wi-Fi password (1234567890) is widely known. Change it immediately after installation.

Sign in at 192.168.1.1 (append /fh on Fiberhome units). On the PLDT firmware, open Network from the top menu, then WLAN or Wireless Settings, and pick the SSID Configuration tab.

Rename the SSID away from the factory PLDTHOMEFIBR string so neighbours cannot identify your unit. Drop your new key into the WPA PreSharedKey field. Twelve characters or more is sensible; skip anything guessable like a birthday, mobile number, or barangay name.

Hit Apply. Every connected device drops off. The 2.4GHz and 5GHz radios carry separate keys on Fiberhome and Huawei units, so repeat the step on each band.

Our Wi-Fi password change guide walks through the same steps for other router brands.

Using Your Own Router with PLDT Home Fibr

The supplied device handles fibre authentication, so your personal router just handles routing and Wi-Fi.

Option 1: Double NAT (simple setup)

Keep the supplied router connected. Plug your own router’s WAN port into a LAN port on the PLDT device. Set your router’s WAN to DHCP. This creates a double NAT, which is fine for browsing and streaming. Gaming or hosting servers may have issues.

Option 2: Bridge mode (recommended)

Log in with the adminpldt account (see credentials table above). Look for WAN Connection or Internet Settings. Change the connection type from Route to Bridge. Save and restart. Connect your own router’s WAN port to the device’s LAN port 1. Set WAN to DHCP.

Bridge mode access is sometimes restricted on the basic admin account. You need the adminpldt account for this setting. If bridge mode is grayed out, try accessing via the brand-specific URL (e.g., 192.168.1.1/fh for Fiberhome models).

Subscribers weighing the country’s two largest networks before committing to a router often read our Globe vs PLDT speed and price comparison. For the full set of Philippines ISP router login guides, including the Globe At Home router login on the rival fibre network, HanoiLUG keeps a per-provider index.

Troubleshooting PLDT Router Issues

These are the faults PLDT Home Fibr subscribers raise most often on the 171 hotline, with the fix for each.

  1. Login page does not load. The usual cause is the wrong brand suffix. Match the URL to your hardware: 192.168.1.1/fh for Fiberhome, 192.168.1.1/ZTE for ZTE, plain 192.168.1.1 for Huawei, and confirm you are on the fibre network rather than a mobile hotspot. A LAN cable bypasses flaky Wi-Fi during admin work.

  2. Password rejected. The provider changes adminpldt passwords via OTA updates. Try the passwords in the credentials table above. For Huawei models, also try telecomadmin/admintelecom; for ZTE units the login URL is 192.168.1.1/PLDTadminLogin rather than a password change. A factory reset (hold reset button 15 seconds) restores original firmware defaults, but you may need to call 171 to restore internet.

  3. Connected but no internet. Unplug the unit for a full 30 seconds before powering it back on. Reseat the fibre patch cord at both ends. If the line stays dead, raise it on 171 or log a ticket inside the MyPLDT Home app.

  4. Slow Wi-Fi speeds. Run a wired speed test first. When the cable hits your plan figure but Wi-Fi lags behind, the radio is the limit, not the line. Fiberhome ONTs throw a short signal through the concrete walls common in Filipino homes, so centre the unit or add the TP-Link Deco X55 mesh (P199/month per node) to fill the dead spots.

  5. Red LOS light. A red LOS indicator points to a broken fibre path. Trace the cord from the wall socket to the ONT and check for sharp bends, which crack the glass core. Report a persistent LOS on 171 or via the MyPLDT Home app.

  6. Internet drops during rain. Common in areas where the provider uses older aerial fibre cables. Water affects splice points and connectors. Report repeated rain-related outages at 171.

Test your PLDT connection

After logging into your router, run a speed test to confirm PLDT is delivering the throughput your plan promises. The widget below uses M-Lab's open NDT7 protocol — see the full speed test page for details on how the measurement works.
